Across the globe produced water treatment is paramount in being able to use and re-use water in applications such as Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD), Steam Flood and Water Floods. During these processes the goal is to be able to clean the water enough so that it may continue to pass through critical equipment before being injected as steam into the well. Many facilities will utilize ORF Units (Nutshell Filters), Lime Softening Units and IGF Units (Induced Gas Flotation) to help remove the oil content in the water during enhanced recovery processes.

Induced Gas Flotation Units have been in use for over 20 years and continue to be the equipment of choice when treating produced water to remove hydrocarbons and solids. PS Filter’s IGF units will remove up to 98% of contaminants from produced water in a compact lightweight design. Natural gas entrained within the process water is introduced to the influent process stream in the form of fine gas bubbles, which continually saturate the vessel and rise to the surface with the oil and solids attached. These units can be packaged alongside our Hydrocyclones and Nutshell Filters to offer the most efficient water treatment solutions for your process.
